Carissa Caramanis O’Brien is an EMT, writer, speaker and President of Red Box Communications. She has helped healthcare and EMS organizations, systems and practitioners communicate for fifteen years. Carissa applies her broad experience and industry insights to create effective strategies and tactics that generate results. She consults on marketing and communications channels and programs that meet the needs of her clients, including leveraging the power of the growing social media channel. Chris Montera, AAS, NREMT-P – Owner/ CEO (EMS Garage)
Chris Montera is the Chief for Western Eagle County Ambulance District. He has previously served as the EMS Data Specialist for Foothills Regional Emergency Trauma Advisory Council (RETAC), Western RETAC, Central Mountains RETAC and the State EMS data contract for the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. He has been in EMS for 19 years. While in EMS, he has worked in the field as an EMT, Intermediate, Paramedic and the management level. In his tenure he has worked in suburban, rural and frontier areas of Colorado and has been involved in health care since he was 16 and working as a nursing assistant at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. He has also contracted for Aspen Ambulance, St. Vincent’s Hospital and Southern RETAC to write ambulance service assessments. He has served on RETAC boards, served as Secretary for the National EMS Data Managers Council and currently he is President of EMS Association of Colorado. Chris is CEO/Producer and Host for EMS Garage, EMS Leadership and is the Producer of EMS Educast podcasts.
Thaddeus Setla NREMT-P – Creative Director, Director of Photography, Producer, Editor of SETLA FILM Productions
As a Paramedic in Alameda County, California, Thaddeus’ began in the EMS industry in 2000. Since then has worked as a Firefighter/ Paramedic, Volunteer Firefighter and Transport Paramedic. As a Director, Producer, Editor and Cinematographer he has experience bringing high level production value to an industry he is passionate about. With his recent film “LEVEL ZERO” An Alameda County Documentary, he has brought international attention to the EMS industry. His focus is to combine entertainment, education and technology to enhance the future of the profession! When there is a need to enhance any educational aspect of EMS, Ted has been key in developing concepts that bring today’s technologies to the table! He makes films… That’s what he does! Chris Eldridge is the owner of MediaFunctionX, a media production company based in San Francisco. He finished shooting his first feature film, Meipporul, in early 2008. Since then he has freelanced for PBS, TurnHere internet video, Inside Cinequest, Level Zero, and other high-and low-tech firms in the SF Bay area. Check out his work at mediafunctionx.com. Jamie Davis, the Podmedic is the host of the longest running EMS podcast “The MedicCast.” A paramedic and RN with a background in broadcast journalism, Jamie has worked in and out of the ER, in EMS medical billing and as EMS Chief in his department.
